BOBBY WELSH
Bobby Welsh
Bobby Welsh
Bull Rider
Bobby, 22, is already the father of three children. He can be expected to plant himself on each bull at the WNFR with concentration and a lot more experience than one might think. “I started when I was seven,” Welsh recalled. His dad was teacher and mentor and those lessons paid off with Bobby’s first trip to the finals last year. “It was everything I thought it would be and more. It took me to another level.” The Welsh family moved to Gillette, Wyoming from Wisconsin many years ago. Bobby plans to beat the odds in Vegas on the rankest and best bulls that more often than not toss their passengers to the arena dirt long before the 8-second horn. “When I get behind the chutes I look at it like any other rodeo. Yeah, it’s the NFR but once you start letting that get to you, that’s when the problems start,” Welsh said.
