MOORCROFT

Population: 807
Elevation: 4296
Region: Northeast

Chamber of Commerce

As early as 1884, cattle were being driven through the region from Texas to Montana. This small community of Moorcroft off 1-90, situated along the old Texas Trail, owes its beginning to the cattle industry. Growing from a single general store, it expanded along with the agricultural community.
