Whether it’s a small town rodeo or the "Daddy of Em’ All," folks living near and far visit Wyoming to experience this age-old tradition. So grab your cowboy hat, get your boots on and saddle up for 2008!
TEAM WYOMING
2007 World Champion Steer Wrestler Jason Miller
The state tourism office proudly sponsors Jason Miller who calls Lance Creek, Wyoming home. This is the man who wrestled a steer to the ground in just 4.8 seconds in the final round of the National Finals Rodeo for a win totaling $42,000 and gold buckle. Fans take notice! Charlie's Cowboy Blog will follow Jason throughout 2008.
Charlie will also keep tabs on Wyoming's 2007 National Finals Rodeo qualifiers: Team Roper, Jhett Johnson, Barrel Racer, Brandie Halls; Saddle Bronc Rider, Chet Johnson and Bull Riders, Kanin Asay and Bobby Welsh. You will get an insider's view into their daily lives, learn about life in Wyoming and in the rodeo arena. Readers will also get a chance to see rodeo through the lives of stock contractors and the animals themselves with guest writers.
