The Snowy Range has over one hundred sixty-six miles of groomed trails and 136 miles of ungroomed, but signed, trails. Numerous meadows with deep powder snow attract riders along the entire system. Unlimited public land is available for great snowmobiling throughout the entire Medicine Bow National Forest. Full Services can be found in Laramie, Saratoga and Rawlins. Limited facilities and services are available along the trail, however, food, lodging, fuel, and restrooms are readily available. Other attractions include scenic lookouts and warming huts. Guides, tours and rentals are available in Laramie and the Snowy Range Ski area. There are 12 permit selling agents located in this area to meet your needs. Six roadside parking areas are available which provide easy access on and off the trail.

This trail system( see map) is maintained through cooperative efforts of the Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources/Division of State Parks and Historic Sites, the U.S. Forest Service and the local snowmobile club.
Of Wyoming's roughly 2,000 marked (and often groomed) snowmobile trails, the 675-mile Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail has been called the top snowmobile route in the West by SnoWest magazine. The majority of the these trails are signed. Within the system there is a great diversity of trail riding and scenic qualities. There are numerous meadows with powder riding throughout the system. The snowmobile season is from December 1 thru April 1st. read more
